I have finished with John twice, and both experiences were epic. He knows the river like the back of his hand and there were plenty of times where he would say cast right there and on the first cast I would hook up. He is very accommodating. I was cold. He gave me wool socks. He I was wet and radon. He gave me waterproof gloves and had a propane heater on his boat that kept me warm. He is a very friendly guy and a pleasure to be around so if you were looking for a guide on your first time, definitely give him a your while I promise
